Surf's up.
I had hoped to call these pages "A frolic in the
ocean breeze," but that was not to be. Certainly not for lack
of a breeze, though. The wind in the Atlantic picked up
dramatically yesterday. It howled through the night, but seemed
calmer this morning. When we got to the port, however, the Captain
of the good ship Sabia informed us that near tempest conditions
prevailed out on the open waters. The crossing over to the Ile of
Yeu has thus been cancelled. In four years of WVU-V, this is the
first time we've had to cancel for the weather.
Here Madame Dupont arrives with Heather, Stacy, and Tiffany. We are all disappointed by this turn of events, but today prudence is the better part of valor. |
