Surf's up.

The creation of Amélie Poulain is an interesting story in itself, partly because many on our trip last year saw some of its production.  Much of the film takes place in and around the train stations of the Gare de l'Est and the Gare du Nord.  If you are a 2000 Vendéen, you may have seen the movie equipment on the rue d'Alsace -- the street from the Gare de l'Est up to our hotel d'Amiens (the funny street that turns into a double set of stairs).

I hope our 2001 Vendéens enjoy the film as much as Dr. V. and I, and if you get a chance back home, this is a must-see movie.
