As part of the Women and Creativity Conference we are asking ALL participants to create a square for exhibition at the Monongalia Arts Center.

A 9" X 9" square muslin will be mailed to those who pre-register.

Or you can provide your own if reading this on the web.

LEAVE HALF INCH BORDER ALL AROUND

8" X 8"work space

How would you illustrate  what you do creatively or what inspires you?

You can use: 

Threads Permanent Marker
Paints Nuts and bolts
Text Collage materials
Papers Yarn
Beads Fabric
Wire Photo images
Glue Flat or 3-dimensional

Use any materials you want. The only restriction is that we must be able to mount the squares on the wall with push pins, so leave the border free (NO backing around the 1/2' edge). Therefore weight might also be a consideration. You may want to run a line of fray check or around the edge. Attach a name and address label on the back. Just have fun.

Create a masterpiece, send it flat in a manila envelope or box and mail to:

Mail it to ARRIVE BY OCTOBER 1, 2004

Go to Monongalia Arts Center on High Street during the conference and see your work with other participants in a group quilt display! Opening reception 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2004.

Squares will be made into a quilt for display after the exhibition.
