Today we're up bright and early to visit the true economic and cultural center of Les Sables d'Olonne. In days past "sables/sands" were the curse of this town. The sand often blocked the port and hindered the town's most important activity -- fishing. Our goal this morning is to explore this vital part of Les Sables' cultural and culinary life. |
