The Louvre is an immense labyrinth of stairways and halls. It would take months to do it justice. In a the few hours we have, we'll take any advantage we get. Here we enjoy an escalator toward the apartments of Emperor Napoleon III, the architect of modern Paris and the last to inhabit this palace as monarch of the French nation. |
