Lest we forget . . .

The art here is at times abstract, at times literal.  The sickles here, which have been turned straight on their handles, are no longer apt for cutting wheat.  They are the weapons of war -- the war waged by a simple peasant against the forces of a national militia armed with rifle and baionette.
