Lest we forget . . .

Like those of the Middle Ages, the windows in this church tell a specific set of stories.  In addition to the biblical narratives of the older structures, here we see the legend of the Abbot Barbedette.  Father Barbedette is a legendary figure here.  He is said to have worked several near-miracles in service of God and the King during a very dangerous time for men of such conviction.  Here we see his final capture and execution by republican guards -- the "Blues" whose uniforms are  easily recognizable in this stained glass.
