Ryan Kells is next. He has investigated the question of lifestyle of the most important permanent residents of Les Sables -- those who have retired here. His extensive interview with Monsieur and Madame Borne reveals an incredible level of perception. The Borne's retired to Les Sables for the climate and for the life-style available here. They now enjoy hobbies like handy-work, boating, bridge, wine collecting, and world travel. The Borne's came here from Saint-Etienne on the other side of France, and now cross back across the continent mainly for winter visits to the Alps. They've never visited the U.S., but if they get a chance they' like to see New York, Florida, and Louisiana. I bet now they also put West Virginia on that list... |
