Blue Skies o'er Blackminster

One of the marvels of this coast of Europe is the "passage du Gois," which leads from the Continent to the Isle.  This road is one of very few in the world that are flooded twice a a day by tides that rush in at amazing speeds.  The Tour de France bicycle race has passed here several times, and each year there is the "Foulée du Gois" -- a foot race that always sees a few slow runners saved by the boats that ride rising tide to the aid of stragglers.
