After a few Metro stops, we come out at the Pont d'Alma. Here we see an exact replica of the flame that sits atop the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor. A twisted irony of fate is that this flame also marks the site where Princess Diana, the celebrated Lady Di, died in the tragic automobile accident that we all remember so painfully. |
