The Isle of Yeu still carries traces if its earliest inhabitants - the builders of megaliths that pre-date all the written history of these lands and seas. This dolmen is but one of many examples on the Isle of Yeu. For fans of pronunciation, you say "Yeu", almost exactly like our informal "yur", as in the John Wayne's "Yu'r not lookin' for trouble are ya, Pilgrim?" Like me and John Wayne, you want to drop the "r" from "yu'r".
