Brooks Hall Timeline

The land Brooks Hall currently sits on was purchased in 1947, and the doors officially opened in 1951 as home to the Department of Biology. In 2005, Brooks Hall closed for renovations, and in November, demolition began. After a year and a half of construction, Brooks Hall reopened on July 2, 2007 as home to the Department of Geology and Geography and the West Virginia Geographic Information Systems Center. The building includes five instructional computer labs, five general purpose classrooms and one 350-seat lecture hall with state-of-the art technological capabilities.
