Summer Institute

 

July 5-29 (Tuesdays-Fridays)
Mountainview Elementary

 Morgantown, WV

The WVU Writing Project’s Summer Institute gives WV teachers at all grade levels from all subject areas the chance to:

X  Read and discuss best practices and current research

X  Develop new strategies for using writing in the classroom

X  Develop a portfolio of professional writing

X  Become part of a dynamic network of teachers

Earn 3-6 hours of WVU graduate credit in English

X  Receive a $700 stipend and tuition waiver

To apply, please write a brief letter describing your educational background, your teaching experience (including your school and the grade levels and subjects you teach), any previous Writing Project affiliation, and your potential for contributing to and benefiting from the institute.  Please include contact information, too (name, work and home addresses, work and home phone numbers, e-mail address).
