I am from Bluefield, WV, a small town in Mercer County. I earned a BA in English and a MA in secondary education from West Virginia University in Spring 2003. Currently, I am pursing a second master’s in Reading from WVU and beginning classes towards my Education Doctoral Degree. I have taught for two years in various placements such as PikeView High School in Mercer County, the New River Community and Technical College in Beckley, WV (adjunct professor for English 101 and English 102), and West Preston Middle School in Preston County, WV.
