COUPLED PENDULA - RESONANCE USING COUPLED RODS

NARRATIVE
         Resonance occurs when a vibrating body transmits energy to another body whose natural frequency is the same as that of the driving body. The two vibrating rods are coupled by a rubber band. For resonance to occur, adjust the identical masses to the same height. Displace one of the rods a small amount and release it.  A smaller mass may be added to one of the rods and its position adjusted to obtain resonance.
