The "Final Jeopardy" question was to name the three major figures in a clip from the 1968 winner of the Oscar for Best Film. It's the scene where the king of France arrives to meet Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry II Plantagenêt in the Castle of Chinon. Teams had to name the three main characters in the scene. All got the first two -- Henry and Eleanor. Only one team named the young king to who Eleanor says "I'm Eleanor, who might have been your mother." He's also the king who lead the Third Crusade alongside his friend Richard the Lion-Hearted (several teams named Richard, and missed). Plus, he's the king who rebuilt Paris and who authorized the construction of a church we call Notre Dame de Paris. I leave you there... |
