Council for Women's ConcernsWho Are We?Council for Women’s Concerns (CWC) members are appointed by the WVU President and represent the diversity of the community: women and men, WVU students, faculty and staff, people of color, and Morgantown citizens. CWC PurposeThe Council for Women’s Concerns of West Virginia University promotes the equity of women in the academic and local communities. Since our beginning in 1977, CWC has played a key role in the University’s evolving response to women’s issues. A member council of the President’s Office for Social Justice, CWC has pioneered in dialogue, education, research, and advocacy on behalf of women at WVU.
