Class Information:
Much of the learning in this class results from informed class discussion. Thus, I expect you to be in class and prepared with the day's assignment. More than four absences will jeopardize your grade.
You will have the opportunity to write three papers, one for each genre. You need to write two of those papers (1000 words each), although you may write all three and drop the lowest grade. The tests will constitute two-thirds of the grade and the papers the one-third.
Social Justice Statement:
WVU is committed to social justice. I share that commitment and expect to maintain a positive learning environment based on communication and mutual respect. Suggestions for furthering such an environment will be appreciated and given serious consideration. Please feel free to speak tome about any concern you have in this class.
