The WVU Core Genomics
Facility is a not-for-profit
facility available to all researchers at West Virginia University, funded in part by an NIH COBRE Grant to the WVU Center for Neuroscience headed by Dr. George Spirou. Additional funding is provided by the Department of Biology, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the WVU Health Sciences Center.
The facility performs and runs sequencing reactions and fragment
analysis on an ABI model 3130XL genetic analyzer, as well as microarray analysis using the Affymetrix GeneChip system. We also
have equipment available for self-service use. New users should
contact the lab manager.
This website is designed to help get samples to us
easier and provide accurate service. Please review the following topics for help. If you
still need help, please contact the lab manager.

Signing up and Logging In
I've lost my username and/or password, what should I do?
The website has a way to reset your password by letting you enter in the email address
you signed up with. If you don't have this email address, you must contact the lab manager or
signup again. Once you enter the email address you used during signup, the system will send an
email to the address with your login and the new password. The system resets the password to a new
random one and cannot be changed unless it is reset again. If you don't receive the email, be sure
to check the junk mail folder. If it isn't received in 5 minutes, contact the lab manager or signup again.
Do I need to fill out the entire signup form?
No. Fields marked with an asterisk are the only required fields. The system will not let you
complete the signup process unless it has the proper data. Feel free to omit whatever else
is not required. However, to help in contacting you any pertinent information
would be useful.
