Comet 1999 S4 LINEAR
Comet LINEAR was discovered on September 27, 1999, by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research program in New Mexico. After collecting some initial orbital data, it appears that this new comet is making its first trip around the sun. It apparently originated somewhere beyond the orbit of Pluto where it will return after it closest approach to the sun, 114 million km, on July 26, 2000.
