I walk through the front doors of the Creative Arts Center, and the show begins.
I am dressed in my standard uniform of black slacks, black shoes, and my "French blue" tuxedo shirt with the WVU Arts & Entertainment logo over the right breast. The lobby has been prepared for us. Everything is neat and clean and most signs of students and classes have been removed. Everything is beautiful for tonight. The lobby is decorated in cool colors of blue and silver with the rich tones of an entire wall of a pine colored wood paneling. Paneling that conceals the box office, concession stands, and our office where Franny, my boss, and the other interns are waiting.
This is our time now. Our time to transform this place from just another building on a college campus to a wonderful theater experience for the thousands of people we serve each year. I am a Patron Services Intern, and I am proud to work with the WVU Arts & Entertainment in an effort to bring high quality theater and musical experiences to Morgantown. Would you like to go to work with me? Experience a night in my life? A night of fun at the theater.
Let's go into the office and get started.
