Dynamic Bilayer Capillary Coatings to Facilitate CE Separations |
|
| BACKGROUND: |
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry at West Virginia University. I received a BA in Biochemistry from West Virginia University in May 2005. During my senior year, I began working on a Distance Research project for Dr. Lisa Holland. A series of learning modules were developed and tested resulting in Internet-based resources designed to teach undergraduate researchers the principles and applications of Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography (MEKC). I also have experience with ESI-Quadrapole-Mass Spectrometry and PDMS microchips. Currently I am working with dynamic bilayered capillary coatings to facilitate the CE separation of proteins.
