REVIEW COURSE GOALS

A combination of formal and informal assignments, along with other kinds of critical thinking tasks, can help students meet course goals.  Before planning assignments, it might be worth taking an inventory of those goals.

  • What are the main units in my course? (For example, two weeks on _____, four days on ____, another two weeks on _____.)
  • What are the chief concepts and principles I want the students to learn in each unit?
  • What thinking skills am I trying to develop  within the unit and throughout the whole course?
