COURSE GOALS

Students completing English 2 should be able to write a persuasive essay that assesses and synthesizes material from various sources. In other words, you should be able to demonstrate an authoritative understanding of a subject based on research, evaluation, and analysis.

PREREQUISITES

Before taking English 2, you must have successfully completed English 1.

Brief descriptive paragraphs that explain the purpose and focus of each assignment, page length, draft date, final due date, and percent of grade


GRADING CRITERIA

An explanation of the criteria and point spread for an A, B, C, D, and F. You may choose to attach the detailed ENGL 2 criteria.
