For this project we will provide a set of instructions that explain the steps involved in properly brushing your teeth. To aid in our instructions, we also plan on using several images that will help to illustrate particular steps in the directions.

Buy toothpaste that is appropriate for your brushing needs. You can choose from whitening, fluoride, tartar control and several other types of toothpaste and gel.

Patterns Used:
1. Safe Exploration: Each page will have a link to get back to the homepage so that users will not get lost in the site.
2. Satisficing: The instructions will be plainly worded and quick to read. This works well for directions because the steps are easy to understand and follow.
3. Breadcrumbs: Breadcrumb links will be used on each page so that users can easily get back to the previous step. Breadcrumbs are good for projects with a sequence.
4. Grouping: The steps for brushing teeth will be broken down into pre-brush, brushing, and post-brush to break up the task for the user. The steps in the instructions will be placed directly underneath the images that correspond to them so that users will clearly see the relation.
5. Links: Each step will have an in-line link to the previous and next step.
6. Extras On-Demand: The first homepage will only contain the most important links. In this case, it will have links to the pre-brush, brushing, and post-brush pages.
Images:
One image will be used per step. This image will show the user exactly what is meant by the step. The images will illustrate the words on the page to help users follow the instructions.
