July 17-20, 2008. Come to the highlands of the Appalachian
Mountains for four days of workshops, panel discussions, readings and lectures.
The
2008 faculty are Mark Brazaitis, Denise Duhamel, Brian Henry, and Sheri Reynolds.
The
West Virginia Writers' Workshop features nationally respected
authors alongside many of the region's best known writers
in a setting of rugged, natural beauty. West
Virginia University's striking campus provides a backdrop
for creativity and complements the writing process: state
forests are within a five-minute drive from campus and the
Monongahela River within sight of it. All participants
will meet individually with workshop faculty for intensive
one-on-one conferences. These are intended to focus
and refine the work being done around seminar tables and in
classrooms. The Workshops themselves have limited enrollments
to guarantee personal attention.
