Undergraduate admission to WVU is based on a combination of your high school GPA and your highest composite ACT or SAT score. You also should have earned high school credit for the following:
- 4 units of English
- 3 units of social science
- 3 units of mathematics (algebra 1 and 2, geometry)
- 2 units of lab science (i.e. biology, chemistry, physics).
Course work in foreign languages and computer science is recommended and some majors may require additional mathematics credit.
In-state students must earn a high school GPA of at least 2.0 and either a 910 SAT score or a 19 composite ACT score.
Out-of-state students must earn a 2.25 GPA and either a 950 SAT score or a 20 composite ACT score.
Students interested in computer science or forensic and investigative science, must meet higher requirements.
