Campus Development

As a result of WVU's desire to provide the best learning and research facilities for its students and faculty, implementation of the University's Master Plan for new and renovated facilities is moving forward. This vision to restore what can be saved, to renovate what no longer serves, and to build only when necessary will enhance the core missions of the University and the Eberly College.

Current Eberly College projects include:

  • Renovation of Oglebay Hall for the Forensic and Investigative Science Program
  • Renovation of Brooks Hall for the Department of Geology and Geography
  • Renovation of Colson Hall (former law school) for the Department of English
  • Plans for Hodges Hall and the Department of Physics and for White Hall (former Mineral Industries Building)
Private support provides a margin of excellence which can be witnessed in the recently completed Life Sciences Building. Donors wishing to assist in this critical undertaking to improve Brooks, Oglebay, and Colson Halls and explore opportunities for naming instructional or research space can support a variety of needs:
  • Furnish classrooms, advising suites, conference rooms, testing centers, and faculty and graduate student offices
  • Equip instructional laboratories, research labs, and computer facilities
  • Support administrative, student, or faculty areas
