Cecilia Rollins is remembered

Student Life employee passes away Cecilia Rollins, remembered for her passion for her work in Multicultural Programs and her dedication to the University, passed away yesterday after a brief illness. A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at St. John's. Burial is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Darnstown, Md. “Cecilia was a staunch advocate for making WVU a multiculturally aware community,” said Tom Sloane, senior associate dean of students. “That was her passion, and it was contagious. Her energy, enthusiasm and commitment motivated students, faculty and staff to become involved and develop programs and groups. Above all, Cecilia wanted all of us to better understand each other, our cultures and the world around us. She will be a guiding force for all of us as we continue the mission she began.”
