William Torry
is an associate professor in anthropology at West Virginia University. He received his Ph.D. in anthropology from Columbia University. He specializes in natural hazards research, economically developing countries, comparative religious systems, food policy, peoples and cultures of Africa, anthropological theory, philosophy of social science, and ethical theory. Dr. Torry teaches Introduction to Anthropology and Cults and Religious Movements.
