Jennifer Steele

is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Sociology. She earned a Ph.D. in Rural Sociology from Penn State University, specializing in natural resource sociology and rural community and economic development. She has been with the Division since 2003, teaching Introduction to Sociology (SOCA 101), Social Research Methods (SOCA 311), Sociology of Rural Life (SOCA 323), and Environmental Sociology (SOCA 293R). Beginning Fall 2007, Dr. Steele has assumed more administrative/service responsibilities associated with undergraduate advising and curriculum assessment. This includes teaching Orientation to Sociology and Anthropology (SOCA 199), a one-credit course for pre-majors.
