Douglas G. Sahady

is a Lecturer of Anthropology at West Virginia University. He received a B.A. in Anthropology, and a M.A. in Social Science with a specialization in Cultural Resource Management from California University of Pennsylvania. Research interests include Eastern Woodlands Prehistory; Prehistoric and Historic Sites Archaeology; Contact Period Studies; Historic American Architecture; Historic research and documentation of rural and urban historical, architectural, and archaeological sites; Research of prosecutions concerning the illegal destruction/looting of cultural resources. Current research pursuits involve analysis and report writing for a number of Monongahela Indian site excavations from previous California University of Pennsylvania field schools. Mr. Sahady previously worked as a field archaeologist and archaeological field supervisor for Mid Atlantic Archaeological Research Associates, Inc., based in Newark, Delaware. In addition to teaching for the University, he also works as a Team Leader, managing a Partial Hospital Program for individuals contending with mental illness. Courses for the University include Introduction to Anthropology, and West Virginia Cultural Resource Management.
