Amy Hirshman

is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at West Virginia University. She completed her Ph.D. in Anthropology in 2003 at Michigan State University. Dr. Hirshman is coming to us after teaching the last few years at the University of Michigan-Flint. Her dissertation examined the relationship between craft specialization and state formation in prehispanic western Mesoamerica.
