Priority Registration Schedule
Advising is done twice a year. Scheduling for the fall semester is usually in March and for the Spring
semester scheduling is usually in October. Advising faculty arrange individual types of advising expained below. Additional information, forms, and hyperlinks can be found under the "Current Students" link.
Students should arrange appointments in the way listed below. Advisees are expected to arrive a few minutes early to sign out their file from the main office and obtain
necessary advising forms. See your advisor and then return your file along with the signed advisor evaluation form to the
office. An office assistant will then provide your term pin.
Advising faculty are not only academic advisors. Advising faculty teach, conduct research, as well as advise
advisees. It is very important that advisees make and keep advising appointments. Most faculty are on nine month
appointment and are unavailable in the summer; advisees who do not register during priority registration may not
get to see their advisor.
Students within these classifications are eligible to begin registering beginning on or after the specified dates listed below:
Tuesday, October 20 Professional, Graduate, Honors, Disability and Athlete
Tuesday,October 27 Senior (89+ hrs)
Tuesday, November 3 Junior (59-88 hrs)
Tuesday, November 10 Sophomore (29-58 hrs)
Tuesday, November 17 Freshman (0-28 hrs)
Traditional Appointment. Advisors will have advisement sign-up schedules posted by October 15, 2009 outside their office door. The following traditionally use this style of advising.
