Division Admissions Requirements

Graduates Johnson, Nolan, and BowmanBachelors of Arts in Criminology and Investigations

Application for admission into the major requires completion of SocA 101 or SocA 105 with a grade of C or higher; completion of Stat 211 with a grade of C or higher; completion of 58 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA or at least 2.0; and a minimum GPA of 2.5 across all SocA courses. Students are expected to complete an application, provide a statement of goals, and an unofficial transcript. Applications are evaluated twice a year February 15th for fall admittance and September 15th for spring admittance. Click here for CI Major Application

Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology

Admission into the major requires completion of SocA 101 or SocA 105 with a grade of C or higher; completion of Stat 211 (recommended) or Stat 111 with a grade of C or higher; completion of 58 credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.0; and a minimum GPA of 2.25 across all SocA courses. After completion of entrance requirements students are expected to request student files to be transferred to the division.

Masters of Sociology ~ Applied Social Research

Applicants for admission to graduate study must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Candidates are encouraged to apply online. Application deadline is March 1, and formal decisions about acceptance are made by May for the fall semester.
