- About Morgantown
The MPA program admits, on a competitive basis, the best applicants. Admission materials are reviewed for evidence of ability to pursue graduate work and admission decisions are based on an assessment of experience, verbal, quantitative and analytical ability, community contributions and accomplishments of the applicant.
The Division of Public Administration has developed two general categories for student candidates--the pre-service MPA student and the professional (or in-service) MPA student. The two categories generally recognize two different levels of professional development and recognize the different experiences and strengths of each. In addition, the Division has developed guidelines for international students.
