Clinical Psychology Graduate Students Receive Internship Placements
Morgantown, WV, April 28, 2006: The Department of Psychology in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University is pleased to announce that all 7 of the Clinical graduate students who applied for clinical internships this year were placed at highly ranked internship locations across the nation during this years annual Internship Match.
It is truly an honor for our students to be highly recruited and selected to complete their degree requirements at institutions of this caliber, said Dr. Kevin Larkin, Director of Clinical Training, Coordinator of the Clinical Program, and a Professor in the Department of Psychology.
The Internship Match is a highly competitive process, and every year many clinical graduate students across the country do not obtain internships. Applicants will serve as interns during the 2006-2007 academic year in programs that are approved by the American Psychological Association.
The students and their internship matches are listed below:
Jennifer A. Chrystan, from Turnersville, NJ, was placed at Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.
Benjamin T. Parker, from Pelham, AL, was placed with Gulf Coast VA Healthcare System in Biloxi, MS.
Angela J. Lowery, from Belmond, IA, was placed with VA Medical Center, Milwaukee in Milwaukee, WI.
Abby H. Friedman, from Canoga Park, CA, was placed with The May Institute in Randolph, MA. Jill M. Johansson-Love, from Richardson, TX, was placed with Northeastern Oklahoma Internship Program in Vinita, OK.
Kristine E. Rork, Rocky Hill, CT, was placed with Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC.
Jennifer D. Tiano, from Mt. Clare, WV, was placed with West Virginia University Medical Center in Charleston, WV.
