Curriculum

The Master of Legal Studies (MLS) Program requires completion of 36 semester credit hours, consisting of 21 credit hours of required course work and 15 hours of elective course work. The courses are offered two per semester in sequential 8 week sessions during the regular Fall and Winter terms and two in the Summer Sessions. Each course during the Fall and Spring will be offered over 7 weeks with one week for final products and grading. During the Summer, the courses will be offered over six weeks. In the initial semester for each admitted cohort, two required courses will be offered. In following semesters, a required course and elective course will be offered.

Graduate level course work from other programs may be transferred into the program if the course content is related to the MLS curriculum and prior approval is obtained. The approved plan of study will be altered for the individual student at this point. The maximum hours which may be transferred in is 9 credit hours (25%) of the curriculum.

The application for graduate credit form must be filled out and submitted along with course descriptions.
