Dr. Valerie Lastinger spent many days of her childhood on the beaches of Les Sables d'Olonne. . .  And now, so has Lucie Lastinger.

As parents, we have been truly blessed to see our children also enjoy the sand, the sun, and the water of one of France's most beautiful seaside towns. Below are our son Alexander (waving) and our daughter Allison (in the blue swim suit), playing with their cousins Guillaume and Clémence Crêtaux.

Now we look forward to one of the most fulfilling experiences of our lives. Each year we and our colleagues among the French faculty at WVU will be leading our students into a world that we live and love...
