From not too far away, but a blast from the past is this Citroën car. Citroën was of Dutch-Polish-Jewish heritage, and he built armaments in WWI. Soon after he started building automobiles. His company would be the first to make powerfully effective front-wheel drive cars. Those cars needed powerfully effective tires, so Michelin was a big part of the project. If I'm not mistaken, this is somehting like a 1923 Type C Citroën.
