We've entered the heart of Vendée -- and the heart means something here. Can you see this marker on the train station of La Roche-sur-Yon. It says "Napoléon-Vendée". Vendée is very independent, and in past times one of Napoléon's greatest conquests was that of this rebel corner of western France, wild and wonderful for sure.
