Henry IV, having converted to catholocism, should have had the throne easily. Many were reluctant, though, and he had to fight to enter Paris. Here is his triumph in 1594. Soon he would declare religious freedom, in 1598 with the Edict Nantes. The revocation of that edict would come at the order of the Sun King, Henri's grandson Louis XIV.
