Le Puy du Fou !

Some say the Puy du Fou is the most visited theme park in France -- by the French, that is.  Euro-Disney surely has a higher overall number, but that's due to foreign tourists.  This day, we're in one of France's own most cherished parks.  One thing to remember, though:  there are no rides at the Puy du Fou.  This park recreates through dramas and plays several different periods in the history of Vendée and of France.  Here, we're about to see a play that re-enacts the Viking invasions of the 10th century.  Since we're in Vendée, the play starts on the isle of Noirmoutier (just like the real Tour de France this year), and it follows the story of Saint Philbert.
