Today we leave Europe. Our destination it the Isle of Noirmoutier -- a name whose origins can be traced to something like "Black Minster" or "Black Monastery". There's nothing black about this island today. A joke quickly arises among our students that we've finally found the real "Sunnyside". (That's an inside joke if you're not from Morgantown -- there, Sunnyside is not exactly the sunniest part of town, for the moment at least).
