Inside the castle of Angers is one of the most impressive pieces of art
in Europe. It is the Tapestry of the Apocalypse done by order of Louis
I, duke of Anjou, in 1375. This theme is biblical, but at every image
we feel the echo of real time as well. This is a pure product of the
Hundred Years War: famine, massacre, murder, and every other form of God's
wrath on mankind.
