"La Dernière Classe" is the title of a short story that
almost all of our WVU-Vendéens read in their 204 class back in Morgantown.
It's the story of a little Alsatian boy who goes to his last French class
as the Prussians arrive in the war of 1870. One among today's class
mentioned the story this morning, and with somewhat the same nostalgia as
that evoked by the tale of Alphonse Daudet. In any case, we're all a bit sad today that WVU-V 2004 is almost over. We're also quite a bit glad to be going back home very soon. |
