Inside there is much art focused on the history of this region. Here we see the Roman Legionnaire Saint Martin sharing his coat with a beggar. The next day Jesus-Christ himself would appear to Saint Martin wearing the coat he had shared. Martin would quit the Roman army and then Christianize this whole part of France. |
