Whatever words we use, our meal today is again a great chance for good company. I use that word not lightly. Ask any one today who listened and you'll learn that the most important element of a medieval meal was the bread ("pain" or "pan"). The person you shared that with was your "companion", your most important partner in life and in death. This was the person to whom your heart was forever warm. Such is certainly a feeling we Vendéens have for each other, now and for years to come. |
