Our next stop, just a few kilometers further is the Port of Bourgenay, a totally artificial harbor that is now one of the newest and hottest attractions for outsiders who wish to enjoy the sun and the seas of Vendée. These Vendéens, by heritage if not by birth, are a bit disdainful, but they're willing to tolerate a few intruders if it's good for the local economy. |
