The heart of the Marais is the Place des Vosges. This marvelous zone was built by king Henry IV (Henri de Navarre), a Protestant prince who converted to Catholicism in order to secure his military victories and peace for the realm. Even today, Parisians come here to seek peace from the agitation of a very vibrant city. |
